I’ve reported what I think is a bug to Neil regarding how a dataform1 option button handles its
This may be a specific French problem due to the way XP handles numbers here but have asked Neil to investigate. in XP in France numbers use the 123 456 789,00 format whereas the UK uses 123,456,789.00 In my SBLNumSettings I specify comma for thousands & decimal point for the Decimal as I did in SB30 I use an option group with 3 values to allow the user to choose what VAT value is to be used in invoicing etc 0.00 (rare) 5.50 (for people with legal aid) and 19.60 the general case. PS Mr Holland is putting it up to 21% in a few months even though he promised he wouldn’t during the election last year !!) If I click on the 19.60% button that should send 19.60 as the field value but a wxmessagedialog run just afterwards to get .tostr(obTVA3.value,10) is giving me 1960. Anybody else come across this please ? Ian Macpherson May 17, 2013 at 5:28 pm #1393Ian MacphersonParticipantNeil discovered this pm that Personal was using the French number format
So the option button was programmed to give Value if selected of 19.60
(decimal) & that was what showed up in the form designer but it was
actually using 19,60 (comma) so it gave 1960 instead of 19.60
He edited the form in the bloc note & the problem has disppeared.
So this only concerns anybody in a country where Microsoft use 123 456
789,00 ( comma) as the number format
